Conception of sustainable accessories

We design useful objects filled with meaning. Rooted in a responsible approach, Matariki develops products that respect materials, craftsmanship, and local regions.
Here, nothing is left to chance: the design, the origin of materials, and the story told by each object are integral parts of the project.
Every Matariki creation is designed as a link between past and present—between the craftsmanship of yesterday and the lifestyles of today.
What drives us

Heritage

Recycling
Our regional creations are unique
At Matariki, our ambition is to showcase maritime heritage by creating exceptional objects inspired by the Gulf of Morbihan and crafted from recycled materials—specifically oyster shells.
Our first flagship product: the very first "Gulf of Morbihan Knife," combining design, authenticity, and environmental respect. By promoting a local circular economy and artisanal expertise, we transform the treasures of the sea into unique objects that carry meaning and tradition.
Our 3 core values
Territory
First and foremost, the land. Every project is deeply tied to a place, its identity, and its landscapes. Matariki designs accessories rooted in a specific environment, in close connection with those who bring it to life.
Maritime heritage
We draw inspiration from maritime history, local traditions, and objects that have stood the test of time. Our products pay tribute to a living cultural legacy through transmission and stories from our past
Recycling
We prioritize recycled or upcycled materials to limit our environmental impact and give a second life to existing materials. This could take the form of crushed oyster shells or wood from restored boats.

The launch of our first creation - Le Sinagot
Le Sinagot
The knife of the Gulf of Morbihan (Brittany, France)
-
A tribute to and support for maritime heritage.
-
A concrete ecological commitment with a handle partially made from oyster shells.
-
A powerful symbol of the Morbihan region.
Inspired by the Sinagot—the iconic traditional fishing boat with red sails—this knife is much more than a tool. Destined for sailors, locals, and visitors alike, the Sinagot is the ideal messanger to transmit your love for the Gulf.

With its elegant, smooth angles and clean lines, the Sinagot knife translates the beauty of the Gulf of Morbihan. 3D images. (Stéphane Semail)
